This "ethnographic map" from 1912 also denotes the Talysh region in southeastern Azerbaijan as a separate ethnographic zone, but Talysh here is part of the Indo-European cultural zone more specifically representated as Armenian, Ossetian, Tajik, and "other" in the map legend. The "other" designation, of course, included "Indo-European" popuations like the Talysh.
