These overlays explore the temporal and spatial dimension of the “Leninopad” phenomenon in Ukraine. At stake in the defacing of Lenins across Ukraine are the symbolic as well as the material dimensions of space—competing territorial claims and historical narratives, altered borders, and shifting political affiliations.
