Description

The map I chose shows the locations of East Boston residences in subsidized housing plans. Interestingly, I bumped into on the locations during my brief period of being lost on Faywood/Orient Avenue. The apartments in that area surround a community center in a castle like manner. This map shows a greater incidence of subsidized housing near the Sumner tunnel. The photograph that I’m attaching shows a small shrine with a saint depicted in dark skin. The shrine is one of the many shrines of various sizes that I tracked in the northern part of East Boston. Not entirely sure what the dark skinned saint is supposed to signify. Both the map and the photograph seem to indicate the north part of East Boston seems to have a generally higher income than the part near Maverick station, illustrated by the Blue Line.
